Born in Haute Savoie, in the country of Thônes, in the Aravis massif, the Reblochon appeared on the 14th century.
At the time, the farmer who had rented a pasture, its owner, a fee proportional to the amount of milk produced. The rental paid in kind accounted for the owners the right "to auciège''. To reduce this tax, the farmers soon had the idea of reducing the importance of trafficking that was the basis for calculation. Thus the day the owner came for his rent, called the "fruit'', the farmer practiced incomplete milking. A second deals continued with the remaining milk and fatter, after the departure of his visitor.
